Forkhill House Irish Bistro is a casual fine dining restaurant, which features warm Irish favorites with a contemporary twist. Each dish is thoughtfully plated by our executive chef Tannis Smith with a combination of locally sourced, and imported bespoke ingredients from Ireland. We are geared towards customer service, and creating a welcoming environment for all who visit us. The inspiration for the restaurant roots from the rich heritage of co-owner Jaime Lenz. During the height of the famine in 1845, her great, great grandfather was known for his contributions to the community. When food was scarce in the area, the Brooks family would provide meals to the masses -for anyone willing to put in an honest day’s work - in the giant cast-iron cauldron placed at the front of the estate. Forkhill House has integrated that sentiment into everything they do. A place for every person, in every walk of life, with no discrimination. Everyone is welcome here! P.S. We won’t make you work for it.
Front of House and Marketing Manager
The Forkhill team, led by owner Jeff Lenz, chef Tannis Smith, and manager Alex Dewar strives to create a memorable dining experience by being genuine to its guests, and also to its values. “We hope to inspire a valued team-seeking to better each other, and grow daily in our craft. The goal is to create not just a team, but a family. A positive work environment really translates from the staff to the guests, and we hope to create a community within our venue that thrives within that mentality,” says Jeff. “This space is historically beloved by anyone who frequents the west end, and we are excited to share the fantastic food and welcoming space that we have lovingly created!”
